Working with the City of Monessen, particularly Councilperson Lois Thomas, we were able to rename 9th St. Park in Monessen to the Anthony Eric Madison, Sr., Veterans Memorial Park. Many thanks to the Madison family for allowing us to honor their fallen son, brother, husband and father with this lasting tribute.
Although I've had plenty of family members serve our country, I joined my college's ROTC program because my dad said he didn't know how we were gonna pay for the upcoming semesters.
Fast forward to October 1990, Ft. Hood, Texas, as I'm deploying to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Desert Shield, not so much scared as unsure.
My commitment to veterans began with my service in the Army.
When I think of duty, honor and service,
I think of Anthony Eric Madison, Sr.

Over the past two and a half years I've had the pleasure of getting to know Norman Madison, proud Marine veteran and father to a fallen hero.

Over the past two and a half years I've had the pleasure of getting to know Norman Madison, proud Marine veteran and father to a fallen hero.
Whether we're attending the annual ceremony to honor the 14th QM or just sitting around shooting the shit, I'm happy that I have Norman in my life.
The man has known more sadness & tragedy than any human should ever bear. Yet, Norman gets up every morning and continues his mission.
Please join Norman Madison and his family as we celebrate Greensburg's 14th Quartermaster Detachment.
Norman will be hosting his annual barbecue event for the surviving members of the unit, their families, and the families of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
We will have food, games, music and more!
We initially invested in the bus for three basic reasons: You don't need a CDL to operate it; it runs on 87 fuel; and it was dirt cheap. Maybe Roman would want to convert it into a food truck, or MB and I could travel the country (or at least southwestern Pennsylvania). It was just too good of an opportunity to pass up.
Although it's taken a little investment to get her street legal, the Paggie Wagon has made several sojourns since our first excursion on Veterans Day 2023. She made it to Atlantic City and home - with eight passengers no less! - with no problems.
Although we've gotten more than a few inquiries on how folks can rent this "party bus", we are not for hire. Our main goal for the use of this bus is to help people.
We are specifically hoping to help veterans get to and from necessary appointments, whether they are at a local VA facility or one in the Pittsburgh area.
We are looking to begin monthly dispensary runs for those veterans who are medical marijuana patients in PA.
We are also planning to start a weekly shopping run to areas of the Mon Valley, specifically for veterans who don't have consistent access to reliable transportation.
